After braces the prior orthodontist had cemented a wire retainer on my daughter's lower teeth that caused gum issues. We went back to have the wire removed at the recommendation of her dentist. The new orthodontist removed the wire retainer and charged $260 for a replacement retainer. We had already paid $3,200 for our care, which was to include everything related to the braces and retainers. I called to see about a refund and they were going to talk to the orthodontist. I never received a callback. We are disappointed with the service under the new orthodontist ownership.

It is important to always seek a second opinion, especially when it comes to medical procedures. In my experience, my son was recommended to get braces at the age of 9, which I later found out is not the recommended age by most professionals. After the first round of braces, my son was told his teeth were fine and just needed a retainer. However, when he stopped wearing the retainer, his teeth began to shift again. We were then told we needed to pay over $5,000 for a second round of braces, despite having already paid over $3,000 for the first round. This was frustrating, and when we sought a second opinion, we were told that braces should have never been given at the age of 9 as he still had baby teeth. It is important for parents to be aware of the risks and to always seek multiple opinions before making a decision. The discussion I had this morning was very unproductive and I regret wasting my time on it. The person I spoke to showed no accountability for their mistakes and instead just apologized for not being the person I originally spoke to. I found it concerning that not everyone in the facility seemed to know the proper procedures, especially when it comes to health-related

Nothing bad to say. Braces for 2 kids, never had an issue before or after the practice being sold. Same staff, same service even the surprise visits when a wire broke or came loose. I really appreciate the reminders of the upcoming appointments especially when I'd forget to put them on the calendar.

My whole family (myself, 2 kids, husband, nephew, niece and some friends) have all gone to Dr. Chorak for braces. He’s great with all ages, personable, thorough, listens to your wants and needs, provides best course of action, and answers all your questions without rushing you or making you feel you asked a dumb question. I would definitely continue to recommend him to everyone I know that needs an orthodontist.

One of the best orthodontist around. Everyone is so nice and helpful. My child was so afraid of getting braces but Dr. Mario and his staff made her so comfortable and she looks forward to her visits with them. We went to a few orthodontist for consultations but Fairwood Orthodontics was by far the best one we had.
